Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AdvCoupon (www.advcoupon.com) collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information. Last updated: October 19, 2026.

1. Information we collect

When you create or use an account

  • Your name and email address, and a password stored only as a salted hash (we cannot read it).
  • If you sign in with Google, Facebook or LinkedIn, the basic profile that provider shares with us: name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your password for those services.
  • Your price alerts, notifications and the purchases and cashback shown in your account.

When you use the site (including without an account)

  • Click records. When you click a coupon, deal or store button we log which offer and store it was, the time, your IP address, your device and browser type, and where you came from. If you are signed in, the click is linked to your account so cashback can be credited.
  • Whether a coupon worked or not, if you vote or report it. Anonymous votes use a random session ID rather than your identity.
  • Your approximate country, worked out from your IP address (through our hosting provider) or your browser language, so we can show offers for your region.
  • Search terms you enter on the site, and basic technical logs (pages requested, errors) kept by our servers.

When you contact us, the contents of your email and your email address.

2. How we use it

  • To run the site: show coupons, deals and stores for your country, and let you sign in and manage your account.
  • To track purchases and cashback, and match commissions reported by stores and affiliate networks to the click that led to them.
  • To send price-drop alerts, cashback status updates and account notifications, including transactional emails such as the welcome message. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, for example repeated clicks from one IP address or device, fake orders or duplicate accounts.
  • To understand which offers are useful and to improve the site, including reviewing coupon reports and votes.
  • To comply with the law and to protect our rights.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EU/EEA and UK), we rely on: performing our agreement with you (accounts, cashback, alerts), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the site), your consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligations.

3. Cookies and similar storage

We keep this to what the site needs:

  • Country preference. A first-party cookie (advcoupon_country) remembers the country you pick in the switcher.
  • Sign-in. When you sign in, a login token is kept in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in. It is removed when you sign out.
  • Affiliate cookies. When you click through to a store, the store or its affiliate network (such as FlexOffers, Cuelinks or ClickBank) may set its own cookie on its site so a purchase can be credited to us. These are controlled by those companies under their own policies.

We do not currently run third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies on AdvCoupon. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but affiliate tracking, sign-in and cashback may then stop working.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run AdvCoupon:

  • Stores and affiliate networks receive the technical details of your visit (such as a click ID) when you follow an offer, so they can track the sale. They do not receive your AdvCoupon password.
  • Service providers who host and operate the site on our behalf: web and API hosting, our database and cache, and an email delivery service. They may process data only to provide those services.
  • Sign-in providers (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn) if you choose to use them.
  • Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
  • A buyer or successor, if AdvCoupon is ever merged or sold, with this policy continuing to apply to your data.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Where your data is processed

Our providers run servers in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the one where you live, including in India, the United States and Europe. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account data: for as long as your account is open, and deleted or anonymised after you ask us to close it, except where we must keep some records.
  • Click, order and cashback records: as long as needed to reconcile commissions with stores and networks, handle disputes and prevent fraud, and as the law requires for accounting.
  • Support emails: as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data or close your account;
  • object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent you gave us;
  • move your data to another service where it is technically feasible;
  • not be treated unfairly for exercising these rights.

To use any of them, email hello@advcoupon.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will reply within the time the law requires (usually within 30 days). If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

You can also remove price alerts yourself in your account, sign out at any time, and opt out of non-essential emails with the link in the email.

8. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and restricted admin access. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

AdvCoupon is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

Stores and other sites we link to have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version, and we will make a clear notice on the site if a change is significant.
